PhD and MD Travel / Research Prize Application

Commencing in April 2016, NIHR CLAHRC East Midlands will award twelve travel/research prizes to PhD and MD students linked to the CLAHRC. PhD/MD students should be either directly funded by the CLAHRC or their supervisor should have a link to the CLAHRC.

In order for the student to be eligible to apply, their supervisors must be a member of CLAHRC East Midlands Faculty. Please check that supervisors are a Faculty member before applying, and if they are not, ask them to apply for membership. See our Faculty application page to find out more.

Successful applicants will win up to £500 to cover the cost of attendance at a conference (a paper or poster must be being presented) or for research data collection costs.

April – September 2016

Six prizes will be made for costs incurred (or due to be incurred) between 1 April – 30 September 2016.

The deadline for applications is 23.59pm on 25 May 2016. Applications should be emailed to: CLAHRC-Awards@nottingham.ac.uk. Successful applicants will be informed within 10 working days of the deadline.

October 2016 - March 2017 

Six prizes will be made for costs incurred (or due to be incurred) between 1 October 2016 – 31 March 2017.

The deadline for applications to be received is 23.59pm on 15 December 2016. Applications should be emailed to: CLAHRC-Awards@nottingham.ac.uk. Successful applicants will be informed within 10 working days of the deadline.

If you would like to apply for one of these prizes, please complete the application form and return it, together with the supporting information requested, to CLAHRC-Awards@nottingham.ac.uk by the stated deadline.

Please be aware that no forms will be marked before the deadline, and any submissions received after the deadline will not be reviewed. Applicants who have previously been awarded this funding are not eligible to apply again.
